Summary
If you feel tired but wired, wake up exhausted even after a full night's sleep, or feel like your body isn't responding the way it used to, this episode is for you.
Chronic inflammation isn't just about inflammatory foods. It's a signal that your stress response, blood sugar, sleep rhythms, and metabolism are out of sync.
In today's episode of the Pioneering Today Podcast, I'm breaking down the hidden drivers of inflammation that many women, especially over 35, are experiencing but don't always recognize.
We'll talk about:
-
Why inflammation is a signal, not the root problem
-
How blood sugar swings and insulin resistance impact sleep and hormones
-
What waking between 2-4 a.m. can really mean
-
Why under-eating protein and over-training can make things worse
-
How stress, cortisol, sleep, and metabolism are all connected
This isn't about doing more, dieting harder, or following the latest wellness trend. It's about understanding how your body works as a whole and learning how to support it in a sustainable way.
Whether you're just starting your health journey or feel like you've tried everything, this episode will help you see the bigger picture and take your next step with clarity and confidence.

| 0:00.0 | Hey, pioneers. After last week's episode where I shared about our health crisis, my husband's |
| 0:12.2 | cancer diagnosis and just the things that we had been going through, thank you so much for |
| 0:18.3 | everybody's response who emailed in and the stories that you guys shared. |
| 0:24.5 | It was really incredible and also very eye-opening that so many of us are going through having a lot of inflammation and stress on our system. In fact, I think probably the biggest thing |
| 0:41.1 | that you guys, as I was reading people's stories and hearing where you're at and things that |
| 0:45.8 | you're going through and struggling was the core of inflammation. And honestly, that's not |
| 0:54.1 | surprising because inflammation is not a single problem. |
| 0:59.1 | And so much of what we look at with our health, we try to address this single issue and hoping |
| 1:06.4 | that that is going to be the thing that fixes everything. Instead of looking at our bodies as they are of |
| 1:13.2 | all of these interconnected parts and systems, and inflammation is a signal that these systems are |
| 1:21.5 | out of sync. So that's really what I want to start to dive in today is touching on these different points |
| 1:29.5 | and these different systems in our body. And when they're out of sync, what exactly does |
| 1:34.3 | that mean? So one of the big things, which is not going to be a surprise to anybody, is |
| 1:39.9 | chronic stress. So chronic stress is where we have stress without having those recovery periods, |
| 1:48.8 | right? Because that's the key part there is chronic. And so many women, also men, but so many |
| 1:55.6 | women are operating from a place of chronic stress and they don't even realize it. And that's because of the |
| 2:04.8 | way that our world works today, you know, as moms and women, the way that we were designed, |
| 2:11.7 | that God designed and created us is we really want to nurture. We have nurturing just as intrinsically as part of us, |
| 2:21.0 | and we want to nurture our, you know, our children, our spouses, our friends, our coworkers. |
| 2:27.3 | But oftentimes that nurturing of everyone around us, which is very good intentions, and |
| 2:33.8 | like anything, right, it can be your |
| 2:36.8 | biggest strength and it can be your biggest weakness. And usually that's the same thing. It's the |
