Good morning. Welcome to ESM.

I hope it's beautiful where you are and you're anticipating a wonderful day.

I want to do my best to help set the tone.

So today's episode is titled, The Miserable Middle. Okay, that's not exactly a jovial topic.

But if you will stick with me for 20 minutes, here are some things I can assure you.

We will define this miserable middle. We may even expose it to be a

reality of your life, even if you have constructed a sense of peace to try to hide it. And more importantly,

we can stop ignoring it, we can choose to leave it, and some very practical ideas can benefit you greatly,

leaning on the power of God and the spirit and prayer and hope and all of these great things.

Now, before I even get into definitions, it's worth saying that you may be someone listening today

who says, I am not in the miserable middle. I am in a place of full tilt, all in Christ first, mission-oriented faith. I am not perfect, but I am living for Jesus. I am pressing on, and God is with me. And if that is where you are, I am so happy for you. And I don't

mean that in even the slightest derogatory way. You are exactly where I want and I pray that

everyone around us can be. And I hope that today's episode can help. But even as you listen,
