I'm Jamie Smith and I normally produce programs rather than introduce them, but this is a little bit different.

The next 50 minutes or so is dedicated to just one football match and it was 15 years ago.

And when I say football I mean soccer or whatever you like to call it.

Football a game put simply in which players from two teams kick around a ball and try to

score goals.

But it's also a game which creates such loyalties and passions

that what happens on that pitch can feel a lifetime of memories.

So how does one become the other?

Well, this might help answer the question. This year the 2020 Champions League final was due to be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

And then I didn't want to, you know, wait for the answer. I just turn back to the goal.
