You've both worked across industries and sectors.

What lessons from the private sector do you think youth serving organizations like Junior Achievement can apply right now to be more effective?

Since Mark gave the mic up first, I'll go first.

You know, it's really interesting because I think, especially with young people, they don't

actually see the capability they have inside of themselves.

And one of the things, being a JAA of alumni for 47 years, as Chief Chancellor of Junior

Achievement Worldwide University, I really help to motivate everybody here to allow people to take inventory of themselves.

I have a saying you can't find outside of you what you can't see inside of you.

And that's what JA, from the time I was 10 years old, taught me was to develop and to take inventory of the skills that I had and that

I desired, the knowledge of not only what, but who, and then be able to take the skills, the

knowledge and desire and align it with three things. What's doing well today, what's stable

today, and what you may think or believe or feel is going to do well in the future.

And I think my experience with Jay at every level has been that we're teaching people to empower themselves by taking inventory of those skills, knowledge, and desire and elevate their awareness to how

to utilize them for a greater good, an abundant more than enough purpose.

One of the things about Napoleon Hill you may or may not know completely aligned with

junior achievement is the idea of definiteness of purpose.

And the 2% of the people in the world that have purpose compared to the

drifters, as Napoleon Hill would say, are the people that I see participating in junior

achievement.
