0:11.9	Several years ago, when we first began the Enjoying the Journey broadcast, we started with my favorite book of the Bible.
0:19.0	I've adopted it really is my life's study on the book of
0:22.3	Philippians. And the theme, of course, of that great book is the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
0:28.0	Truly, it is the Bible treaties on what it means to enjoy the journey. Now we're thrilled to share
0:35.5	this anniversary series with you again in the hopes that God will use it in your life to help you learn to enjoy the Lord Jesus Christ at whatever stage you happen to be on on life's journey.

0:58.7	In our generation, people have become absolutely enamored with emotions, with their feelings.
1:08.3	And because of it, it's bled over into our church world in such a way that in so
1:14.4	many places today, doctrine is not emphasized. In other words, it's really not about absolute truth.
1:21.0	Everything's relative. Everything is about how it makes me feel. And if it gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, then it must be right.
1:30.4	But we know from the Word of God that our own hearts are deceitful above all things and
1:36.1	desperately wicked. And so because of that, to trust your heart, to trust your emotion is a very
1:42.9	foolish thing to do. The only absolute truth is the
1:47.0	unchangeable word of God. It is forever settled in heaven. And if it's forever settled in heaven,
1:53.3	that means it touches everything that we do here on earth. We've come in our study to Philippians
1:59.8	chapter two to one of the truly
2:02.2	powerful theological portions of scripture. As a matter of fact, many people would say that
2:08.8	Philippians chapter two is as deep a theological passage as you'll find anywhere in the Word of God.
2:14.6	It is an intensely doctrinal portion of Scripture. Let me show you
