Haskell County officials today announced they believe they were confronted with the

strangest love triangle eastern Oklahoma has developed in years.

With the arrest of John Mouser, 45, married, a farmer, and Mrs. Julius Spears, aged 40, his neighbor in divorcee.

In connection with the assassination Wednesday night of Mrs. Nancy Parker, age 28, a

divorcee who was shot to death in her rear yard. The deceased was about 28 years of age and was

married. Her husband is not here now, though. The Spearswoman has been divorced several years these two women

evidently have had some trouble of some kind but the Spears woman maintains they

were good friends Johnny Spain a brother of the deceased also stated that the

women were friends so far as he knew the Spears woman denied the killing and stated that she

and the Spain woman never had any trouble. That Mrs. Spears and Mrs. Parker were enamored with

Mouser and that jealousy prompted the tragedy is the opinion expressed by Sheriff Sampson

Wires and County Attorney A.A. Davidson.

Mrs. Spears was placed in jail late yesterday afternoon after bloodhounds led officers from the

scene of the murder to her home. Mouser was taken into custody last night after Mrs. Spears

is said to have told the officers that Mouser

visited her the night of the killing. A mask and riding habit said to have been used as a disguised

by Mrs. Parker's Slayer were found in Mrs. Spears' home, according to authorities. They also say that they found two empty pistol shells, which they believe were used to kill the

woman.

The pistol was not found.

Mrs. Spears was today charged with first-degree murder.
