Puritans nor Rothman high Noah hi John well we had a fantastic night last night here in New York

we had our 12th annual not quite annual because we missed the pandemic year but um 12th roast

for Barry Weiss honoring and making fun of Barry Weiss it was a wildly crowded event

uh we had almost 500 people and uh good times seem to be had by all and I want to thank everybody

who came everybody who contributed uh it's the most successful fun raising event in our history

and I want to thank Barry for uh agreeing to be the victim of the night for a good cause um and it

next we'll do we'll have another one next year and I will again give our listeners the opportunity

to join us and then you will actually know what goes on behind closed doors because it is off

the record and uh and uh you got to be there to experience the joy the tears the the laughs the

sorrows the crushing morocity and the irrational exuberance of the commentary roast uh we were all

there and uh now it's back to ordinary life if you can call what has been going on over the last

week and over the weekend ordinary so of course the overhang question is the midterm results and the

fact that we still don't know whether uh it looks like Republicans will end up with control of the

House of Representatives but by one or two votes and um it's an interesting thing about

there was not a day in the in this congress you know which is what we call this is out of the

hundred and nineteenth congress like every two years you have a different congress so you say this

this congress that started in twin January 2019 there's been not been a day in which there have
