Ya Allah, we ask you to grant us knowledge that is beneficial and we ask you to benefit us from the knowledge you have granted us.

Ya Allah, we do not have knowledge besides that which you have granted us.

For indeed you are the owner of knowledge all wise.

Ya Allah, we seek your protection from knowledge that will not be made use of, from eyes that will not cry for your sake.

From a heart that will not tremble in your fear, from a stomach or a soul that will never be filled or content,

and from a prayer that is made that will never be answered.
