Guy who had pretty good numbers with the Oakland days. Guy by the name of Billy Taylor. Good move. I remember when they made it. They traded a young pitcher named Jason Isringhausen. All right. I guess that story was that boring. I'll get to the punchline. I apologize. I gave up Jason Isringhausen, who would go on and actually have a really good career. But at the moment, the Metro Trana win. And so they brought in a closer who had 26 saves with the Oakland Athletics.

And I remember liking the trade.

Like, all right.

That guy was Billy Taylor.

And while you were preparing yourself for an NFL season, Billy Taylor was ending his major league career because he was really bad. He only ended up pitching 13 in a third innings. He gave up 12 runs. And then Bobby Valentine wouldn't use him because he was just so bad. And I remember thinking, boy, that's relievers, man.

You just don't know. What happened with Isring Housing, where he went to me? Very successful career as a closer. Of course. Had a really good career. Now, Izzy was a big prospect. He had injuries. But we understood at the time why they were giving him up. Right. Now, let's flash back to now, 26 years later. When the Mets traded for Ryan Housley, we all thought it was great.

A closer.

Billy Taylor at 26 saves.

This guy had 28 saves or whatever was this season.

21 saves.

He was having a good year.

3 ERA, those 102 miles an hour.

And much like Billy Taylor, if not worse, in fact, the numbers are worse.
