The Mets have just announced that they are calling up 22-year-old super prospect,

Jonah Tong, a former seventh round pick from the 22 draft who has shot up

the prospect rankings list.

He has shot up in regards to how the Mets viewed him,

how Major League Baseball viewed him as a pitching prospect.

I gave you the numbers before the break.

If you're just tuning in, he pitched away 159 ERA at AA, was promoted to AAA a few weeks ago,

didn't allow a run in 11 and 2 thirds innings.

I've heard comparisons to Tim Linsicum to describe his windup, the velocity.

And I have been told that we now know how they're going to use him, which Sean knows. I don't know it yet. He'll reveal it after. Number one, they could use them as a weapon out of the bullpen. We have seen teams do this before. We saw the Yankees do it many years ago with Young Jabba Chamberlain, even with Phil Hughes. The Rangers do it with Neftali Feliz. The Cardinals do it with Adam Wainwright. Bad memories. Yep. So they could use him as a big-time arm out of the bullpen. Option number two is they could look at some of their starters that struggle to go five innings and say, Jonah, you're going to follow up a guy after four innings. A piggyback. A piggyback. And then the third option,

which is what I would choose, is you take a guy who's made basically nothing but starts in the

minor leagues and say you're a starter. And we're going to give you the opportunity to be Nolan
