tell us tell us let's just start at the beginning how do you start looking at metabolic health

you know low carb type stuff and ended up being from a standard internal medicine background, I assume?

Yeah. So I finished medical school back in 1997, finished my internal medicine residency in 2000

and went out to work as a primary care doc at that point in time. You know, I felt like that was

really the best way of me to help for me to help the most people and to try to make the biggest difference for people across their entire health. You know, I really loved the idea of taking care of the full person as an internal medicine doc. So that's what I went out to do in 2000 with, I think, a fair amount of naivete. And you had your clean, you had your

clean white coat. You're ready to save the world. You get your stethoscope around your neck, and

here you go. Yeah. And there were a number of things that I found out pretty quickly that, you know,

eventually led me down this pathway that led me to what I'm doing right now. But a few things that

I will say happen fairly early on is that

I realized that this naive idea that I had, which was that if I could make the right diagnosis,

do the right testing, ask the right questions, and then get people on the appropriate treatment

that they would get better. What I pretty quickly found out was that that was not the case
