Hebrews was written to the Hebrews.

I'm not a Hebrew.

What am I doing, reading this and teaching it?

I've been saying all the way through this teaching that we are

like eavesdroppers listening in on a conversation. The writer to the Hebrews is writing to them,

trying to explain to them the finished work of Christ and the operation of the Holy Spirit, and we already know all this.

I mean, most of us, if not all of us in here,

intimately understand the details of the faith,

the working of the Spirit of God,

the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ,

the Gospel of Grace. We understand this. So what are we doing listening in on this conversation? It says to the Hebrews who don't

understand it. And the writer to the Hebrews is attempting to explain to them how the Gospel of Grace was formed in such a way

that they can themselves become part of it. Earlier today, I was talking to someone about

denominationalism, and there are a lot of denominations. A lot of people believe a lot of different things.

I just believe in salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Interestingly, that's what the writer to the Hebrews was writing about. Now he's using complex language, but that's what he's talking about.
