I just wish the weather was a little bit warmer up here in the

northeast of the United States. I'm guessing we're going to have either an elongated spring where I can keep my windows open in mid-July.

Or we're just going to skip spring altogether and just go into the really, really hot weather.

I'm kind of pulling for number one only because I do not want to spend a

whole bunch on air conditioning bills. Now onto our first story for the month of May. The piece is titled The Meeker and the All-Sying

Eye. It is by friend Matthew Kressle.

Now Matthew has appeared in Light Speed, Clark's World, I.

I-O-9, beneath ceaseless skies interzone electric velocipede Apex magazine, and The Anthologies Naked City,

After, The People of the Book, and other markets.

His story, The Sounds of Old Earth, was recently nominated for a Nebula Award.

He has been nominated for a World Fantasy Award for his work editing Sybil's Garage, a speculative

fiction scene he published from 2003 to 2010.

And if I can just throw a shameless plug in there,

I was able to participate in the last issue of Sybil's Garage

that Matthew published.

Currently, he co-host The Fantastic Fiction at KGB, reading series in Manhattan with

Ellen Dattlow. He is a member of the Altered Fluid Writers Group and in his fair time he studies

the Yiddish language.
