And welcome back, Tom Harbin here with you. I'll be picking up your phone calls and just a wee

little bit here. I want to get into how conservatives are doubling down on their racism.

And also everything in the press said about the economy was wrong. We'll get into that as well.

But I wanted to start off with the Medicare Advantage plan to kill real Medicare.

If they can move more than half of Americans off traditional Medicare and onto these corporate

plans, these so-called Medicare Advantage plans, it'll provide the political cover to kill off

Medicare altogether. And they're nearly there now. They're over 40% of people have moved from

Medicare to Medicare Advantage plans. Medicare Advantage plans, of course, are not Medicare.

They are privatized plans. This came out of the 2003 legislation that George W. Bush got

pushed through. He's been trying to privatize Social Security and Medicare quite proudly.

His entire political career. In fact, I linked to an old 2003 or 2004 New York Times article

where George W. Bush is out there as President of the United States saying,

we got to privatize Social Security. This is our first priority.

So here's the thing. Medicare Advantage is not Medicare. These are private, I mean,
