is very interesting to discuss. Today, I will be taking you on a mean girl safari, okay?

I will be discussing the different species of mean girls and offer some tips on how to

deal with them because we all deal with them. And I wish I could say that it gets easier as you grow up,

but sadly, it doesn't. So I'm going to put on my zookeeper hat. I'm taking you on a safari. Are you

ready? Keep your arms and your legs inside the vehicle at all times because we're going to see some real creatures today. So I think the word mean girl gets thrown around a lot. Like people are always like, oh, she's a mean girl. She's a mean girl. Now, I don't think that if you do something mean one time or like a selfish thing, I don't think that's a mean

girl. My definition of a mean girl is chronic behavior that affects other people in a mean

way. Okay. I think that's what a mean girl is. And that's the definition that I'll be using today.

The reason I'm calling it Mean Girl Safari is because of a caller on my live show called a couple

weeks ago and was like dealing with awful mean girls in her workplace.

And she said something or I said something and she was like, they're animals.

Like they're animals.

And I was like, you know what?

Mean girls, they're animals.

They can really make your life brutal. So I'm going to go over some of the most

common types. I'm going to take you on this safari. You might ask, what are your qualifications?

Like, you might not feel safe going on a safari with me. Like, what do I know? Okay, well, let me tell you.

I went to an all-girls school my entire life. I was raised in the wilderness. And then I was president of my sorority, okay? And I lived in a sorority house for three years. So I'm a real zookeeper of mean girls. Also, to be honest with you, it kind of takes one to no one. And to be perfectly honest, I'm a little bit of a mean girl in recovery. You know, I'll be honest with you guys. I'll be honest. And at the end, I'll tell you what I think made me become less of a mean girl. And I did check with my friends. And I double checked and I was like, please be honest. Do you think I'm a mean girl still? And they were like, no, you do bully us to go out sometimes, but it's from a loving place and we need to be

pushed. I'm paraphrasing. I'm sure Ashley and Chloe are rolling their eyes somewhere, but that's

kind of what they said. Anyway, so I'm going to begin with the most common species of mean girl, okay, which is the queen

bee who controls the group.

And this is the classic mean girl, all right?
