You don't want it. You don't need it, but you're going to get it anyway. The Kevin Sheehan Show is Kevin.

Al Galdi's going to be on the show with me today. We'll talk a lot of commanders football, a lot of other things as well.

Just a heads up, Al and I had our conversation earlier, and since our conversation,

0:24.3

two things came out that I'm going to talk about here in the open. One was Ron Rivera after the

0:31.4

Terry McClurent Contract Extension Press Conference from this morning. Ron Rivera said a few things

0:37.3

about McCorn and about sort of

0:39.3

the state of the organization with the beat reporters. I want to touch on here shortly.

And then there was a big trade in the NFL. Baker Mayfield traded to Carolina. Carolina gives up

0:53.5

a conditional fourth or fifth round pick. If Mayfield plays a lot,

0:58.0

starts, it'll be a fourth rounder. If he doesn't, it'll be a fifth rounder. That's it,

eat $4.85 million of Mayfield's salary next year. The Browns are going to eat the rest, and I

1:21.7

think Mayfield's foregoing some of it just to get the trade done and to get the hell out of Cleveland.

1:28.6

But when a team has telegraphed that they are going to trade a player and potentially

1:35.6

release that player if they don't get a trade done, more times than not, the team that trades

1:41.8

for that player has a lot of leverage.

1:45.5

And Carolina took advantage of it, paying only a fourth or fifth round pick,

1:51.3

and eating very little of Baker Mayfield's 22 salary.

1:57.7

Now, obviously, I'm bringing this up because I don't think Washington used its leverage

2:04.2

very well in the trade for Carson Wentz. You know, giving up multiple, you know, third round

2:10.8

picks, one of which will become a second rounder more likely than not, swapping spots in an
