Today, I want to talk about if tanking culture ruins players.

Got a couple of examples from very recent teams.

And there's some through line through that.

But before we get to that, did the Mabbs ruin their tank beating the Lakers the other night? The Mabbs now have 25 wins. They're tied with Memphis and New Orleans for both 25, all three of them have 25 wins. The Mavs are tied for seventh in the lottery odds. We were all settled into the fact of, you know, the Mavs are going to be sixth, and they're going to have a guaranteed shot at a top nine pick. And, you know, there's some people that are on the tank side that I see freaking out. And so here's where we sit. The Mavs, Grizzlies, and Pelicans all have 25 wins. And in the lottery odds, you want to look at the wins, not the losses.

Pelicans have 54 losses, Mavs have 53, that doesn't matter as much. The losses will come,

but will the wins, that's the question. Mavs rest of the schedule against the clippers,

they're 11 point underdog, they play the Sons, they play the spurs, those are all playoff teams. Or the Clippers have been playing like a playoff team since their four and 21 start. But they're all playoff teams. Mab should lose all those teams pretty comfortably, pretty easily, however you'd like to put that. The last game of the season is against Chicago. I'm worried about that one. Chicago is one and nine in 10. They lost seven in a row. The Mabs, if they're going to tank at all, do any tanking maneuvers in game. Because I think the only real tanking maneuver the Maverx have done all season is shut down Kyrie Irving. If they're going to do anything, it may come down to the final game of the season against Chicago.

And the Mavs may need to lose that game.

Because you look at the schedule, and this is why I say the Mavs tank relies on the Utah Jazz.

Of all teams, of all teams, the team that I have lambasted the most, the team that you and I have been frustrated about the most, their tactics, what they've done,

they're now tied with the Sacramento Kings for their record.

They're 21 and 58.

They have just completely thrown away any kind of credible, competent basketball in any way,

shape, or form to try and lose out the rest of this season.

They traded for Jerry Jackson Jr.

They shut him down.
