Hello and welcome to super great kids' stories.

Wise tales from storytellers around the world which will make you laugh and sometimes

cry. Recommended for ages 5 to 105. I'm Kim and I love stories. Today we have a silly English

folk tale called Master of Masters. It's told by Tim Ralphs who told you the cat, the tate, the palace.

Did you have a good week, super great kids?

I was very lucky to spend a whole week in several London schools having fun telling stories with five and six-year-olds.

One school had life-sized models of wild animals in the entrance lobby, which had names like empathy

and persistent penguin. What a great idea. A lot of the children were learning English as their second language.

I was impressed how quickly they picked up the repetitions and songs and began joining in.

When we're all telling a story together at the same time, that's when I think storytelling is at its best.

One little boy said to his teacher,

these stories are even better than going home time.

Do you know a silly song or rhyme, like, I don't know, 10 green bottles or hey, diddle, diddle the cat and the fiddle?

Why don't you try repeating something you know while we have a quick word with the grown-ups?
