Muqtah. This is the site of one of the most significant battles in the history of Islam

and in the lifetime of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, even though the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was not a part of this battle himself.

Now, when you go back to the time of the Syirah, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam had just completed Surah Hodeibiyah, the peace treaty of Hodeibiyah.

They'd also just finished after Hodeibiyah the conquest of Khaybar.

And so this is a time now where the Muslims finally have some strength and also the ability to be able to send messengers throughout the world

to call people to Islam. We know the famous story of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam sending Jaffar to Abbasinia, and this was, of course, before the Hijla.

But after Hodeibiyah, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam sends Dihya, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, to the Emperor of Rome.

And he sends Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Abdullah bin Houdafa, the famous companion of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, to Kissra of Persia.

And he sends these messengers all over. Now the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam received a mixed reaction from different places in the world.

When he sent Abdullah bin Houdafa to Kissra in Persia, the famous response was that Kissra tore the letter that came from the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

And he threatened the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam through Abdullah bin Houdafa radiallahu Alaihi Wasallam, and then sent Hitman to go and capture the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

And when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam heard what Kissra had done, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, Mazzakallahu Mulkah, may Allah tear his kingdom.

And indeed, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala tore the kingdom of Kissra.

Now in this direction, the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam sent Hadith Ibn Umayr al-Azdi, radiallahu Alaihi Wasallam, towards the direction of Busra in Assalam.

And when he was on his way, he was stopped in this particular territory.

Now obviously, Bilad al-Sham was considered Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, the entire area.

But this was on the way to where he was supposed to arrive.

And as he stopped, he stopped by the Rassani Arabs.

Now the Rassani Arabs were Christian Arabs who were allied to the Roman Empire.

And they were a threat to the Muslims from the North.

And as they stopped him, as the chief of the Rassani stopped him, he said to Hadith Ibn Umayr, where are you going?
