The guest that we have on today is Lawrence McDonald, who is somebody who I count among the

most important, not only investors, but thinkers about investment that we have. And he wrote this book

that is a mega bestseller called How to Listen When Markets Speak. He also runs the Bear

Traps report, which is like an investment analysis site and is an investor himself. And he is as

like studied and also connected to all the people who manage all the money for like some of the

biggest people, whether it's like Silicon Valley folks or finance folks, etc. So he's super

connected, super knowledgeable and has a ton of experience. And in his book, How to Listen when

Markets Speak, distills down a theory about where we were as of a couple

years ago that over the past few years has really played out in the ways he's described

and that most importantly has huge implications for the next few years. And so he and I talk

about his theory about where we are and also get into brass tax about like where the heck to put

your money right now if you do share his pessimism about where we are. And obviously this podcast is

not meant to be investment advice. So, you know, whatever you decide to do with your money after

this, you do at your own risk. With that said,

though, this is by far, by far the most informative fiscal financial market investment podcast

that we have ever done. And so I think you're going to get a lot of value out of it.

And I definitely highly recommend reading that book. But before we get to Lawrence,
