The idea is if you can get the right name and you can assign the numerical value to the letters in that name,

and if those numerical values add up to 666, then you'll be able to know who it is.

And there's a marvelous section in Leo Tolstoy's great novel War and Peace.

Many people are saying Napoleon is the Antichrist.

If you take the phrase in French, the emperor Napoleon,

and you assign it the value of Greek letters,

and if you leave out just one letter, you get to 666.

What could be more persuasive?
