There's an absolutely fantastic new music documentary out now called The Sparks Brothers, and it is of course about the band Sparks and it's

directed by the great Edgar Wright known for everything from baby driver to Sean of the Dead.

And the thing about Sparks is that they are very difficult to describe

a band that has transcended eras and genres like perhaps no other.

about their whole career and about that documentary which is a extremely unique and again excellent rock documentary.

listening realizes how special this is, but I guess I would start by asking something of Edgar. The biggest thing I took away from this

documentary which I just loved was a lesson that's larger really than music. It may even be larger than art, but I was thinking for anyone with a creative career or anyone who just wants to keep going.

The message seems to be, allow the slate to go blank, have the courage

to start over, and you can move forward and go far beyond what anyone could imagine.

And I was curious if you kind of took that message yourself

as a creative person, both from making the documentary

I was very impressed by before I'd even met Ron and Russell was if there was a seed of the
