| 0:39.0 | podcast, Talking Bay 94. So welcome to the show, Brandon. Thanks for having me guys. We've |
| 0:45.6 | hung out in person a couple times. We've done some cool stuff and it's nice to be on the show. |
| 0:50.2 | Yes. I mean, I think it's so cool that we got to meet at Lucasfilm. I know. I think even briefly we met, was it y'all's first premiere? Which premiere was that? Oh yeah, the Ackleit. The Ackleit. Yes, I think it was very brief. It was very brief. I think that's Mac when we actually were able to see each other in person. That was, that was a killer day too. That was fun. Talk about just like random weird days. Like that's some crazy stuff, you know. |
| 1:16.4 | Yeah. You know, you just encounter us on the best days of our life. So I'm not going to be the |
| 1:22.3 | same. Right. I was right and high in both those days. Right. Right. So yeah. Cool. So So Brandon, do you mind just kind of telling us a little bit about your podcast and then about some of the other things that you're involved with in Star Wars? Yeah, for sure. I talk to May 94. I've been doing for a few years. We're on a little bit of a break, but for a variety of reasons, as you'll hear in a second, where I, like you mentioned, I interview Star Wars people. I interview, but it's specifically people that have worked on Star Wars in an official capacity. So mostly cast and crew, and then like authors and comic artists, that kind of thing. Doing for a few years, really, really enjoy it. A lot of, I love behind the scenes and just for light and magic. |
| 2:03.7 | And so that's been really, really fun for me. |
| 2:05.5 | And then that's kind of pivoted to then writing officially for Star Wars, which is like |
| 2:09.9 | a crazy thing to say. |
| 2:11.1 | So crazy. |
| 2:12.0 | And so I write for Star Wars Insider, which RIP, but a few more interviews to come. |
| 2:18.6 | Yeah. And then I'm a contributor for Star Wars.com. And then I've written a couple books |
| 2:24.3 | for DK, official stories. So I helped write the Star-encyclopedia that came out last year, |
| 2:29.7 | and then I just had my own book, The Encyclopedia of Starfighters and other vehicles coming out this fall. So a lot of fun stuff. Yeah, really, it's been a real blessing for sure. Yeah. You're going to have to do like an update when Starfighter comes out to it. Well, you're telling me, man. There's, because it's so funny that it's called Starfighter, right? The Starfighter's in the title. |
| 2:51.6 | And I'm friends with Kelly Knox, who's great, and she wrote a book called Bemore Obi-Wan. Yeah. And she has gotten Yuma Greger, someone has given Yuma-Megregor the book and you have held it. Right? And I'm like, that's pretty good. Now I'm like, listen, I'm not, you know, and who cares and the books will be? |
| 3:08.4 | And it's not my, you know. |
| 3:24.0 | But if Ryan Gosling holds the book like on a red carpet or something, yeah. Yeah. Could be cool. I'm just pretty, you know, we're far away from it. It could, you know, but it's not like out of the realm of possibility. and I'm kind of clinging on to that. |
