I'm your host Alex Maxwell and joining me as always is Mac Lacey Alex what an incredible week for the Mandalorian.

We are here with our breakdown of chapter 23 and what an episode that was.

My gosh now if you're a long time listener of this podcast you know how bad I am with recent C bias but.

I I don't think it's hyperbole to say this is at least top three top two episodes of the entire series yeah there's so for me there's still one that's kind of an outlier that could maybe be beating this one out for the top

of the believe but the believer yet another Rick family yeah episode Rick really bring the heat in the Mandalorian but yeah there's I mean come on I feel like this is just this episode was just like checking stuff off of our Mandalorian wish list you know yeah gave us so many you know we kind of tied up a lot of things and we learned where we're going with some other things and then we got tons of new questions and it's just a wonderful spot to be sitting at right.

We were an amazing penultimate episode this season that is just getting me absolutely amped for this finale.

It was a very game of Thrones pen ultimate ask episode in terms of holy cow it brought it like the scope and the epicness of everything that happened in this episode was beyond levels than what I expected like I expected it to be really really cool.

But man there was moments in this episode where I was like man I really wish I was sitting in a movie theater seeing some of these scenes because it was just blowing my mind I love every second of this episode and I cannot wait to do the scene by scene breakdown because there's so many fun little clues and Easter eggs like we got to talk about what what the title of this episode even means who's it referring to that.

That's a big question that's a big question and I think it gave us a little bit of hint of someone we might have been trusting we need to be careful with potentially yeah and then like there were so many amazing amazing Easter eggs in this episode and then like it sets up the the mando verse movie that they announced this past weekend in a huge way.

Right now everything is starting to really come together and maybe we're understanding why it felt like almost like a reset in the book of Boba that from the end of season two because they realized oh we we're going to make a movie out of this like we're building towards something really really huge and so like we need to start moving the pieces a little bit differently than what maybe we expected to do originally and a little faster than what we intended to do.

We intended to do originally and this episode kind of made all those decisions make a little more sense to me.

Yeah I would definitely agree with that I definitely agree with that. I think I was last voice male breakdown I was talking about it's it's hard for us right because we have to have opinions in the moment.

Yeah and and we don't get kind of the benefit of of seeing narratively what comes later down the line.

Definitely yeah what like you said it's kind of answered some questions I had about the overall pacing the overall plan for the season and then for the mando verse in general yeah so I mean just a amazing episode I cannot wait to get into the breakdown.
