You know, one of the nice things about spending five years, focused almost exclusively,

on sports, was that there was a certain amount of trust, a certain amount of

commonality, a certain passiveness to sports news that allowed it to simply wash over you.

It's entertainment, not unlike watching a Netflix series, you could just let the information almost flow through you. You could

escape. You could relax. Sports didn't ask much of you. It doesn't ask you to look deeper into the world.

Sports doesn't make you question every piece of information that's passed on.
