Can you just take us back to your first knowledge of Liverpool in the sense of potentially becoming a significant figure at the club?

You made no secret of the fact you've been a long time

Chelsea fan, but just if you can tell supporters why you were asked to come on board and what

your role was likely to be at the football club?

Well, it's a strange background, really.

I had approached a very good friend, the guy called Michael Klein, to help me think about raising

money for a sports investment business that I was starting with my son and three other guys.

And that was like on the Thursday.

And he came up with a few ideas. On the Saturday he rang me and so things have changed.
