| 0:47.3 | Well, it was 1964, and I was out against my mother's wishes, Tom catting around in a snowstorm |
| 0:58.9 | one night, and I'm coming home about, oh, 1, 2 o'clock in the morning. |
| 1:05.2 | It was a blizzard, and it was a two-lane highway, and I was blown off the road into a snowbank and my 58 Chevy |
| 1:14.3 | X police car, and the top was white, and the back end, bottom was black. |
| 1:20.4 | That's all you could see of the car was the black trunk sticking out of the snowbank. |
| 1:25.7 | And I'd been there for a number of hours and I was freezing cold and a |
| 1:30.3 | fellow in a pickup came along only person that came by that night and he stopped and he |
| 1:37.7 | pulled me out with a chain and I said thank you and I tried to pay him. He wouldn't take any money. |
| 1:45.0 | What he said was, |
| 1:47.0 | passing on when you have a chance. |
| 1:50.0 | And I never even got his name. |
| 1:57.0 | I didn't really understand that he'd probably save my life until about two years later, |
| 2:04.6 | 1966. |
| 2:06.6 | That's when I started doing what I do and have done ever since. |
