Merrick Garland says more charges are coming for the man accused of trying to

kill former President Trump at his Florida golf course.

Attorney General Merrick Garland responding to former President Trump accusing the

DOJ of downplaying the latest attempt on his life and suggesting Florida officials

should handle the investigation.

Our prosecutors and agents have been working around the clock

to discover the necessary evidence to ensure accountability.

Garland calling the attempt a heinous act and seemingly referencing

prosecutors releasing what appears to be a confession written by suspect Ryan

Ruth at a detention hearing which was necessary to ensure in the short term that the defendant in the matter would not be

released while the investigation continues.

Ruth charged with two firearms offenses Garland stressing. Additional charges

will soon be filed.
