And what terrible things can happen when we do?

Well, let me take you back to an experiment that was done back in the 1960s.

It was called the Milgram experiment.

It was named for a man who put it together, an assistant professor of psychology at Yale.

His name was Stanley Milgram.

And this psychologist had been watching the public trial of Nazi war criminal Adolf

Eichmann in 1961.

And he was asking himself how in the world could the Germans under Hitler carry out genocide

under the excuse that they were just following orders?
