Summary

John was always the logical, no-nonsense type—someone who didn’t believe in ghosts or anything supernatural. But one night, as a kid, in his new room in Toledo, Ohio, his world was turned upside down. A man appeared at the foot of his bed, smirking and holding a cigarette, fading in and out like a shadowy figure who wasn’t entirely solid. The terror he felt that night left an imprint on him that even his tough, skeptical exterior couldn’t shake. The more he tried to wake his friend, the more this ghost seemed to enjoy scaring him. Was it just a figment of his imagination or something more sinister?
