Seven years ago, we began these daily broadcast.

You may not know this, but enjoying the journey actually started during the Christmas season.

We set aside a month of Christmas

studies to search the scriptures, to learn the beautiful joy of the coming of Christ and all that

was connected to it. And now, as we celebrate the end of our seventh year of broadcast, I'm so excited

to share these studies with you again. I want to encourage you to

get your Bible, get your family, sit down, and let's worship our great Christ together. At the

conclusion of today's study, Greg will come and tell you more about how you can obtain other resources

that will help you in your Bible study and family life and how

you can pray with us and help us in the days ahead. Thank you for being a part of the enjoying

the journey family. May God give you a blessed Christmas. If you were God and had to choose a man

to raise your son, what kind of man would you choose? You know, Mary gets a lot of

attention in the Christmas story, and rightly she should. She is the most blessed among women.

She is the virgin that God chose to bring his son into the world. But have you ever considered Joseph?

Have you ever considered that this is the man that God

the father, the perfect father, chose to raise his own son? That's pretty amazing. We find the record

of it in Matthew chapter number one. Now when Matthew one opens, it begins with a long list of

names, a genealogical record.

And the next time you get bored reading the names in the genealogies, think of this,

aren't you glad God knows your name?
