The photographer I-Balls, the crime scene, is a little shaky from the blast detective

Murdock had given him when he'd attempted to push through a tarp in the doorway.

Usually he'd gotten along well with the grizzled old cop, but boy, that had Murdock roared.

He'd almost screamed at him to go around the tarp, to come in through the next room.

An odd thing though, now as he steps over an incredible blood stain, it isn't so surprising.

Nothing seems right in this place.

He'd attended dozens of murder scenes, but never one that had ever felt this oppressive.

He looks to the tarp confused, and soon realizes what it truly is.

The pelt of a human being.

A man stretched out like a flying fox.

An embarrassing wave of nausea hits, and the photographer walks calmly to the kitchen,

searching for anything that might help him settle down.

On the dinner table lays a plastic toy, a gorilla.

He stares into the object, focusing completely.

A beat begins to build in his mind, like jungle drums from an old film.

Likely something about cannibals.

It's with a reeking cauldron filled with vegetables, and the simmering grey meat of their

enemies bobbing within.

A pot on the stove belches, and the photographer gets a clean whiff of what's cooking.

It's a smell he's somewhat familiar with.
