Summary

Warfare requires you to know who you are in the Kingdom at all times, and to have the confidence not to compromise your oneness in Christ. A "good fight" is when we align ourselves with God's intentions and understand the enemy's tactics.

Key Scriptures:

+ 1 Timothy 6:12. Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

+ 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. But just as it is written: “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the human heart, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.” For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

2 Chronicles 20:15. And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat: This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.

Welcome back to the Brilliant Perspectives podcast. I'm your host, Jalen Bowden, here

with you for another episode of Learning, Powered by the Heart.

0:12.0

Today we're talking about the anatomy of a good old fight in the kingdom, because let's

0:17.8

face it. So many of us have felt weak and powerless in the very places where God is most

0:24.6

wanting to empower us to be more than conquerors. So if you've ever felt intimidated and bullied

0:31.1

by the enemy, it's because there is simply a missing piece to your story. It's time to

0:37.0

get equipped my friends, and the good news is that the battle is already won. Our job is to

0:44.0

align with God's intentions, to prosper under attack, and to walk confidently in victory.

0:51.4

Now without further ado, here's Graham Cook.

And I began to be fascinated by the idea of what is a good fight, and how can we win every time

1:05.8

no matter the odds against us. And out of that came a real fascination with majesty, with sovereignty,

1:14.4

and the components of battle which are being victorious, overcoming, becoming more than a conqueror,

1:22.0

and realizing there were different levels that God wants to commit us to in the never-ending

1:29.6

process of us becoming like him. I think most of the time we are defeated because we cannot see

1:37.3

the outcome before the battle. And it's really important, what makes a good fight is that you

1:43.6

go in convinced that you're not going to lose. And so we need to see the outcome before we start

1:50.7

the fight. There are three areas of our life that need to line up with the intentionality of the

1:59.3

Lord. So what makes a good fight is when we have perception, mindset, and language, all in line

2:07.5

with God's intention. So the anatomy of preparation for us is, first of all, we need to see it the way

2:16.5

that God sees it. Let me read you something from the Bible. Don't you love this book?

2:27.0

This is the biggest and the best cheat sheet in the history of humanity.

Everything you need to know about everything is somewhere in this book. And the Holy Spirit
