and has since sold over 1 million copies worldwide.

In our interview today, I'm talking with Justin Taylor, Crossway's book publisher and project manager for the ESV Study Bible when it was being created.

We discuss how Justin first got connected to Crossway, what is day-to-day work on the project looked like in the early 2000s?

And how the ESV Study Bible set a new standard for study Bibles when it was first released in 2008.

So many of our listeners would know you in your role as Crossways book publisher.

You've been at Crossway for a number of years now, but you've actually been involved with

broadly defined it, Christian publishing a lot longer than your time even at Crossway.

I even want to go all the way back to when you first started your blog between two worlds.

I wonder if you could take us back to that.

What was your thinking?

How old were you?

What were you doing when you started that blog? And kind of what was the, what was your original goal for that? Yeah, you're testing my

memory here and I feel like an old man without being able to remember all the details. But it was in the

early 2000s, living up in Minneapolis, working at Desiring God for John Piper.

That was my day job.
