Summary

This week my guest is Joshua Caldwell [32:30], director of the new movie (premiering in theaters today) "Mending the Line", about a combat veteran with PTSD who works his way back into society with the help of a fly fishing curmudgeon. The movie stars Sinqua Walls, Perry Mattfeld, and Brian Cox as the old curmudgeon (of course). It's a story that could easily fall into cliche but I found it to be heartwarming and compelling, and the casting is excellent. Joshua talks about the trials and tribulations of making the movie in a short time frame, challenged by tough weather. It's a fascinating peak behind the curtains of an independent film.

0:16.2	I guess this week is Josh Caldwell. Josh is the director of a new film, which is starting

0:44.9	It's a story that could have been a cliched piece, but I really enjoyed it. I
0:53.9	didn't think it was cliched at all. I thought it was a really wonderful film. It stars Brian
1:01.0	Cox and Sinkwell Wells and Perry Matt Feld, and I very much enjoyed it, and it was really
1:09.1	interesting to talk to Josh about how the movie got made and what the actors were like, which of
1:16.6	them had had fly fished before and which hadn't. Just the trials and tribulations of making this
1:25.5	movie in a fairly short amount of time with these top notch actors. Anyway, definitely worth a
1:33.6	listen, and the movie is definitely worth seeing. I think you'll be inspired, and I think you'll enjoy
