Summary

Jonah and Jesse are on a long car ride with their parents to the last fair in the world, which is located at the south pole and can only be accessed by a secret bridge that requires a toll of one gold coin. Along the way, the car gets stuck in the snow, but snowmen with shovels help dig them out and ask to ride in the trunk. When they finally reach the fair, it is a floating, rotating platform with many rides and games, including an ice roller coaster, a shadow puppet theater, and a talking shadow booth. In the talking shadow booth, Jonah and Jesse's shadows come to life and are able to speak to them. The shadows tell Jonah and Jesse that they are their true selves and that they can do anything they want if they just believe in themselves. The shadows also reveal that the fair is closing and Jonah and Jesse must return home, but they leave with the knowledge that they can always return to the fair in their dreams.
