Believe it or not my friends, when I was a kid, I was really good at sprinting.

Not the long distance stuff, heck no, but the short sprints, I was fast and agile and good.

What happened to me a but sprinting was something that I used to

really love I would do it at school I would win races sometimes. And my parents, you know, we lived in many places,

we were separate, there was a lot of dysfunction,

but whenever possible, my mother and or father, based on geography and if we were in the same place at the same time,

they would show up where they could.

And what was so interesting was one sports day that we had in the UK, my mom took some pictures.

And there's a picture of me in the air, like sprinting, right, really running.

And I'm actually looking to the side.

My dad who wasn't there saw the photo

and he said, ah, uh-uh, uh- a a here in lies your problem back then we used to

race girls and boys I always went to co-ed schools and I was looking at this boy Oliver, I remember his name, to see how far he was behind me.

My dad took this photo, he put it in my face and he said stop looking don't look left don't look right look forward and just run

and what's so interesting is that applies to so much more than sprinting on sports

day when you are 11 years old. Are you looking left, looking right, and not focusing on your destination, not focusing on

your endgame, not focusing on where it is that you are going? Are you giving too much time, energy, attention, credence to what other

people are doing? He said, he said, Siska, as used to call me,

if you keep looking left or right, you're going to be second,
