ADVERTS DISCLAIMER:

This podcast has ads at the start of every episode. However never in the middle of a story or at the end.
Please be assured all ad blocks have been applied to ensure no over 18 or inappropriate ads are played.

However, there may be the odd occasion where an advert slips through the net because the company submitting them submits them under a category that is not correct. This happens very rarely and I do my upmost to stop this happening.

If this happens, please email me at shortstoriesforkids@gmail.com and let me know the following information: What the ad was for? What state you live in? And what episode you heard it on and I will immediately contact Spreaker to block the ad.

I take this very seriously and I really appreciate your support and co-operation.

As creators, we want your child’s experience to be a pleasurable one. Running adverts is necessary to allow us to operate, but please do consider the premium subscription service as an alternative – it’s ad free.

Welcome back friends to Short Stories for Kids. And now it's time for a story request.

0:14.0

Hi Lucy, I would like a story about a girl named Isabella

0:19.0

and whatever she reads or drawers comes to life.

0:22.0

Thank you, Trithika. Isabella was sitting in her bedroom watching the miserable rain fall outside. What a day. What a week in fact. All it had done was pour down every day.

0:48.0

All she wanted to do was go outside in the sunshine. She guessed the weather had other plans. She had

0:55.6

1:01.4

bored. Isabella looked at the falling rain and deep puddles outside and said,

1:07.0

Rain, rain, go away.

1:10.0

Come on back another day.

1:12.0

If only it was as simple as asking. Come on back another day.

1:13.0

If only it was as simple as asking the rain to stop.

1:17.0

Then Isabella had an idea.

1:19.8

The only place she hadn't explored in the house was the basement.

1:25.0

Maybe she could find something down there to play with.

1:28.2

Her parents never went down there, and it was dark and dusty, but it was worth a shot.

1:33.4

Isabella opened the old basement door and looked down into the gloom.

1:38.1

She pulled the light on and ventured down.

1:40.9

In the middle of the room was an old artist's easel and on it was a dusty pack of colored pencils in a shiny gold packet.

1:50.0

Isabella thought the gold packet was odd. She'd never seen a box like that before.

1:56.0

She remembered her parents saying,

1:58.0

an artist used to live in the house before them,

2:01.0

and he was a very quirky guy.
