In Minneapolis, former officer Derek Chauvin was arrested last week and initially charged with

ground, handcuffed behind his back for nearly nine minutes, despite Floyd's repeated pleas that he could not breathe.

An independent autopsy conducted at the request of the Floyd family has concluded that his cause of death was homicide caused by asphyxia due to neck and back compression that murder. The upgraded charge states that Chauvin killed Floyd without intent in the course of
