A long-running joke in Hollywood is that what every actor and screenwriter wants to do is direct.

But now we have a very prominent TV executive saying she, too, wants to get by in the camera.

Yeah, yeah.

Well, I don't think anyone ever says they want to TV direct, but that's what Anne Sweeney,

the now soon-to-be former

head of Disney television, Disney ABC Television, has said she wants to do. Her contract was up

at the end of the year, and she's not returning. Instead, she wants to direct for television,
