This is the greatest hour to follow Jesus.

I'm an 80s kid.

So in the 80s, they made these movies. I don't remember all their titles

as like Thief in the Night or something like that, but they were, I don't know really what the

point was besides to scare the crud out of you into the kingdom of God, you know, is like one of

those kinds of movies. And it was very effective on my eight-year-old self.

But I actually, it's one of those moments where you look back and one of the Swedish things to look back on is just to realize how active the Holy Spirit was in my life.

And I didn't know that as an eight-year-old kid, but looking back, I had this moment where

this also is telling of my upbringing, like my parents

were already in bed and I was out and about the town. There was a church was right across the street

and we had a youth group and they were doing a showing of the movie and I was, I snuck in because my

brother was older and he snuck in and so I shouldn't have been there at all. But I remember seeing that movie

being terrified for my life and running home and jumping in my parents' bedroom,

jumping into their bed. And I basically blurted out, what must I do to be saved?

And they were, honestly, I felt the Lord was all over that moment because they didn't lead me in the prayer right there.

And they said, hey, if you want to give your life to Jesus, then you can go forward next Sunday when there's an altar call.

And man, when they told me that I could be saved, I'll never forget the feeling.

It was like my whole chest leapt.

Like it was like, I can be saved. And it was just a

really powerful moment. And, you know, scripture has this verse that says, the spirit of God

testifies with our spirit. And it's a crazy verse when you think about the spirit of God
