I recently had the opportunity to return to the elementary school I attended as a child.

I was in the first first grade class when it opened 50 years ago.

I walked up the long front sidewalk, feeling some trepidation.

What would it be like inside?

Would it be everything I remembered?

Well I opened the door and was just ushered back in time.

Everything was as it was, the cafeteria, the gym, the sound of people walking on the tile

floors.

It even smelled the same.

It seemed smaller than I remembered, but it felt so comforting within the walls.

So warm within the confines of this school that held so many memories.

So much love still remained within.

The theme for this meditation from Psalm chapter 100 is, I'll steadfastness, how we can

return to moments of unfailing, consistent love, and how we need look no further to find

love than the unfailing presence of God.
