and ask for God to open our eyes and fill us with truth.

Father, we're so grateful that you are who you say you are.

We don't have to wonder what God is like because you are not some impersonal force.

You've revealed yourself to us through your word.

And you are, you are patient.

You are kind.

You are not rude. You are not irritable. Lord, we know that you are

these things because your word tells us that love is patient, love is kind, love is not rude,

love is not irritable, and you are love. God, we thank you that you not only define love, you're the source of love,

and you've poured your love out on us as your creatures in so many ways. By causing the sun

to rise every morning and set every evening, by causing the rain to fall so that our food grows

and the trees give off oxygen and you give us family

and you give us friends. Lord, we're so grateful for the health that we have and we want to use our

time here on earth to bless you and to bless each other.

Help us, Lord, to get it right at home first so that we can be people who transform our nation.

And we thank you for this,

and we thank you that you love us in Jesus' name.
