I'm your host, retired NYPD, Sergeant Bill Cannon, the 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

So we keep getting more information on the Louvre robbery.

And what is the latest information we have today?

Well, the two suspects who are arrested are now refusing to talk.

They're not going to talk, which is common with a lot of criminals.

So what does law enforcement do now that these two perpetrators whose DNA was found on some of the equipment left behind, the vests, right?

What are we going to do with them? How are we going to now solve this case?

Well, there's still lots of ways, right? And I mentioned on one of the previous episodes,

there's something when we do an investigation called perpology, and we use the term

perp. I think that word was banned now on the new NYPD. It's not as kind and gentle as they

would like defendants to be treated. Don't refer to them as perps, right? Anyway, the perpology,

the study of the perp, the background of the perp. And what does that mean? Well, you have two defendants in there. They're known to the police.

The police know these guys as robbers, as jewel thieves, as criminals, right?

So they're not strangers. Right there, that gives us a historical background on each defendant.

So what does that teach us?

The perpology, the study of the perp, who are his friends?

Where does he live? Who are his friends? Where does he live?

Who are his relatives?

Who does he associate with?

Does he own a vehicle?

Does he work a job?
