Last week the schools reopened and for parents and children all over the country, sanity

returned.

It was a necessary measure but has keeping kids out of the classroom come at a greater

social cost than we realise.

Many pupils probably have sadly given up on schooling altogether.

At one point during the pandemic 750,000 children were absent from the virtual or physical classroom.

It's extremely hard to engage when you don't have that face-to-face time with teachers.
