Woodrow Wilson was born December 28, 1956 in Staten, Virginia,

a little over 100 miles outside of Richmond, the future capital of the Confederacy.

When the Civil War began in 1861, Wilson was living in Georgia with his family.

His earliest memories probably included watching his mother care for Confederate soldiers

and attending church with his father, who served as a chaplain to the Confederate Army.
