Are you in a battle today? Do you feel like you're in a spiritual conflict or emotionally or even

today that the Lord is the Lord who gives the victory. We've come in our study of the name of our great God to Exodus

chapter number 17. This is one of the great battle scenes of the Bible. It is Israel fighting with

Amalek. And do you remember Moses goes up on top of the mountain, raises up his hands and his

hands got heavy so he had to have somebody hold each hand up and while he was on

the mountain praying Joshua and the children of Israel were in the valley fighting and it was as he

prayed that the battle was won in the valley there's so much application to that I wish we had time

to discuss it today well let me read to you from Exodus 17, beginning in

verse 13. And Joshua disconfitted Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the

Lord said into Moses, write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua,

for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

And Moses built an altar and called the name of it Jehovah Nisi.
