Hey, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word

of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the Word is alive and active.

We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is going to

speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege.

Psalm 23, the 23rd Psalm, a very, very familiar place to be. If you perhaps know any

Psalm at all, it's this one. This is the one if you've ever attended a funeral, you've

heard this one. And I pray that we're going to see it's a whole lot more about living

than it is about dying, but it also is plenty fun for dying. So I'm going to read it to you

out of the NIV and then I've asked Vic if he would please. He's going to read it to us in

the message. Vic always brings the message and it is particularly rich this morning. So

I'll read it to you first and then he's going to follow me up and I just want you to listen

down deep in your soul as he reads it to you as well in the message. The Lord is my shepherd.

I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters.

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his names sake. Even though I walk

through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod

and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days

of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Did you read it, Vic?

God, my shepherd, I don't need a thing. You've bedded me down in lush meadows. You find me

quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right

direction. Even when the way goes through death valley, I'm not afraid. When you walk at my side

and your trusty shepherd's crook makes me feel secure. Yes. You serve me a six-course dinner right
