It's not an exaggeration to say that literally millions of people are struggling because of this government shutdown right now. Oh, absolutely. Every single federal worker. As we'll be talking about a little bit later, we've got the federal workers, of course. Millions of people are going through open enrollment right now for health care plans. And those premiums are up, baby. Those premiums are up. Those premiums absolutely are up. We got food insecurity for people on SNAP.

It's ridiculous.

Yeah, at first, the Trump administration didn't want to pay out any SNAP benefits at all. They didn't want to use any of the contingency funds that Congress specifically set aside for something like this. Now they've been told they have to at least pay out a little bit. We'll talk about that later. Lots going on. Yes.

But despite all that, despite all the pain that this administration is intentionally causing,

we can't even get a let them eat cake moment. True. Well, we can't even get a let them eat cake moment. We just got Trump talking about this fucking bathroom that has been horribly reconfigured and is now just a shell of what it once was. And I'm not even like a The Sacred Haltz kind of guy. I don't really care that much.

But like interior design. But it looks horrible. But like I have a Pinterest board. I think about how I'm going to lay things out. Clearly something he doesn't do. And it's just like what he did to the Oval Office. Again, not on a These Sacred Haltz. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But just like what he did from the perspective of things that I would want to look at and a room I'd want to be in, that was a crime. Oh, yeah. I think it was it the Lincoln bedroom bathroom or some shit like that? The Lincoln bathroom. What he did to the Lincoln bathroom is even a worst crime. That shit is murder one right there. Yeah. Oh my God. It's just marble. No, yeah. It's just marble with gold accents. It looks so awful, especially compared to what it was before. And again, I don't really like care that much about like what is done to the White House or decor or anything like that. It's usually like a thing that a lot of liberals get upset about. But it's like we've got him completely just destroying the bathroom,

looking awful. Yeah. The Oval Office is incredibly gaudy without all that gold. The East Wing gone. He's currently gone, yes. Making way for a ballroom that is funded by billionaires. I'm sure that's not going to go in any negative direction. I'm sure it's also going to be a marble and gold mess. And we can't even get like a let them eat cake moment. You know what I mean?

Yeah. Like he's, he's so far out of touch. People are literally going to be going without food or much less food than they had before, malnourishment, whatever. And we can't even get them to say anything like everything's a shell of what it was on the eve of Snap getting ready to be taken away. He had that great Gatsby themed Halloween party. Oh my God, okay. Yeah, I see what we're doing. Yeah, nobody read the book. Nobody read the book. It actually is very cool to just be wealthy and flaunt wealth. Like that's sick. And it's just like the marble, man. The marble is atrocious. It really is. The great Gatsby party really gets me because it's like, one, they didn't read the book, but even if they did, and even if they understood it, like, it was not framed in a positive light. Like, Gatsby's life wasn't something to aspire to. Like, he was incredibly miserable. Like, it's just, oh my God, they didn't even get to the end, I bet.

Jesus Christ.

No, absolutely not. And they certainly didn't consult like an interior designer when it could. It's like ultimately Trump just has bad taste. Yeah. Like, and that's what it is. Like for a guy that initially got all his money from his dad and then pretended he got it from doing real estate and being good at that, he's got no taste. He has no eye for design.

No, not even a little.
