0:17.9	Hey guys, welcome back to We met at Acme. And if you hear a rainforest behind me, it's because it is one of the rainiest days in New York City. I don't even know how I got here today without being completely soaked. You can kind of tell by my hair, it was straight when I left. It's certainly not now. I'm wearing rain boots.
0:39.7	So yeah, it's pretty rainy today. It also happens to be my seven-year sobriety birthday, which is crazy.
0:51.0	And we're going to kind of touch on that at some point in this episode today. So as long as
0:57.5	you can hear me enough, I'm going to get started. And basically this month's solo is all about
1:06.0	the loneliness that we experience between the different life stages. If I get to as many things as I want to
1:15.4	talk about within this topic, I'm going to talk a little about a little bit about some holiday
1:20.6	gift and holiday rules around dating and texting habits in the talking stage. And if I don't get to those subjects, they'll be on substack.
1:30.8	So I will tell you by the end.
1:34.3	So essentially, life is lonely and can be really lonely.
1:41.1	And even if you're in a partnership, it can be lonely. But I think what needs to be
1:47.2	talked about more is when the loneliness, like it ebbs and flows and when it is flowing. And it is
1:56.0	flowing when you're in different life stages. So for me, and I think for a lot of you, that was right after college, around 25, 26,
2:08.4	and after becoming a mom, if you've experienced that yet, or just your 30s in general,
2:15.1	kind of like you're getting to mid 30s.
2:19.0	And there's reasons that all of those stages are lonely, and we're going to kind of talk
2:23.4	about them.
2:24.0	But loneliness is not necessarily something that you outgrow.
2:29.2	It's something that can chase you throughout life.
2:31.9	And I think especially in the social media era that we're in,
2:37.6	more than ever, people feel lonely because they see other people getting together and they have
2:45.5	FOMO or they have like a why wasn't I included mentality? And that can be really hard.
